To whom it may concern:
In the early days of 2016, I set out on a personal mission to create “The Perfect Blazer.” I did not know where to begin. I only knew I had to make a sample version — a “prototype” — and continue to tweak and refine until the design matched my vision and goals for style, quality, and sustainability.
Along the way, I learned everything my brain could hold about the fashion industry, our environment’s natural systems, and how we as humans interact with the things we own and use.
In June 2017, I launched VICENZI as an independent clothing label offering a study in contrasting styles: unique yet ubiquitous, timeless and of-the-moment, tomboyish albeit feminine, comfortable whilst elegant. Blazer N°1 is the starting point but we have more to learn and share. More experiments to test, more meetups to host and attend, more stories and objects to create, collect, and scatter. To paraphrase the late, great David Bowie,
I don’t know where we’re going from here but I promise it won’t be boring.
I invite you to join our mission towards better clothing options, alternatives to mainstream retail, and expanding our engaged community. We refuse what’s not meant for us, and reuse what’s entrusted to us. Your support makes this dream possible.
Sincerely,
